Hopefully the Journal of Economic Dynamics can continue to move forward for the development of science Accounting and Management.</p> LIVELIHOOD ADAPTATION AND WELL-BEING IN A SLUM 2023-04-29T01:12:13-04:00 Mizan Ikhlasul Rahman <p>Livelihood adaptation analysis provides an understanding of how slum dwellers' activities to cope with the varied constraints and survive in a slum area called Mantuil Village, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Five capitals, namely human capital, social capital, physical capital, financial capital, and natural capital, are considered in livelihood adaptation analysis. This analysis attempts to fulfill a demand on reducing complex inequality and poverty in the city and to improve inclusiveness in the city and the well-being of slum dwellers. Simultaneously, this research attempts to fulfill a research gap to generate a suggested thorough analysis of the term slum, which considers the existing slum’s characteristics and practices. A field survey is conducted on 164 respondents, to gather information regarding the forms of adaptation experienced by dwellers in Mantuil Village. These forms are classified into five categories of capital. The Rank Based Quotient (RBQ) explores the most influential form of adaptation for improving well-being. The RBQ analysis shows the most influential forms of adaptation for improving well-being are optimizing the current job, intensifying concern for society, buying a motorcycle, expecting financial assistance from family, and utilizing farmland or family-owned land. Rusmin Nuryadin <p>Economic growth can be driven by increasing the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) of a region by looking at which sectors are the base or non-base sectors. This study aims to determine the basic and non-base sectors in 13 regencies/cities in South Kalimantan. with a quantitative method using the LQ (Loqation Quetient) index analysis technique using secondary data, namely Regency/City data in South Kalimantan. The results show that the agricultural sector for several regions is still the basis sector. cities in South Kalimantan can be seen from LQ&gt; 1. This research was conducted on the Batuah Martapura market traders. The population of respondents in this study are clothing traders who use the digital market, totaling 27 people with the snowball sampling method. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The analysis technique used in this research is quantitative by using validity test, reliability test, normality test, linearity test, t test and coefficient of determination test.</em></p> <p><em>The results of this study indicate that there is a significant untested influence of the Digital Market on the Turnover of Clothing Sales at the Batuah Martapura Market. It is shown by the results of the t-test that the result of tcount is (- 285) and the significance value (Sig.) is 0.778 so that t<sub>count</sub> = (-285) &lt; t<sub>table</sub> = 1.708 and the value of Sig. = 0.778 &gt; = 0.1. Because the value (-285) &lt; 1.708 and 0.778 &gt; 0.1, it can be concluded that the hypothesis H<sub>0</sub> is accepted and H<sub>1</sub> is rejected. So the results of the analysis from the t-test can be said that the digital market is not tested significantly on the sales turnover of clothing traders who use the digital market at Batuah Martapura Market. Quantitative research methods using PLS SEM with SmartPLS. </em></p> <p><em>The results of the study stated that company size and Loan to Deposit Ratio had a significant positive effect on profitability, and Non Performing Loans had a significant negative effect on profitability. Firm size, loan to deposit ratio and non-performing loans do not have a direct effect on firm value, and profitability has a significant effect on firm value. This research method is quantitative. The research population was D3 students of the accounting study program class of 2020 at the Tanah Laut State Polytechnic as a State University (PTN) and undergraduate students of the accounting study program class of 2019 and 2020 at the Banjarmasin National STIE as a Private University (PTS). The research sampling technique used purposive sampling method. The exogenous variable is gender diversification as measured using a dummy while the endogenous variable is investment decision behavior as measured through a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is SWOT analysis, namely by describing the internal environment and external environment which are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats at PT X.</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Based on the results of research from the internal side, PT X's strengths are greater than its weaknesses, namely the results of the IFAS calculation point is 3.51 with the difference between strengths and weaknesses having a positive value of 0.115. While from the external side the opportunities are smaller than the threats, namely the results of the EFAS calculation the point is 3.15 with the difference between opportunities and threats having a negative value of -0.105. The results of the SWOT calculation show that PT X is in quadrant II, which indicates that facing various threats, this company still has internal strength. With this method, the writer can find out how far product quality influences customer satisfaction of Wardah cosmetic products for consumers.</em></p> <p><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The results of the research show that the problem with the Guardian Q-Mall Banjarbaru Store is that so far Wardah products have experienced a decline in sales due to the quality of the latest edition products which are still unknown and felt by customers and are dissatisfied with the quality of the latest edition of cosmetic products. In conclusion, Guardian is a shop that has been engaged in providing services for the health and beauty needs of the Indonesian people since 1990 and has officially become part of PT Hero Supermarket. Based on the questionnaire, the variable form, accuracy and suitability, style, design are variables that play a role in consumer satisfaction. Based on the results of the answers whether Wardah products have a different form of packaging from other products, 82% of respondents answered No, the results provided by Wardah products were in accordance with consumer wishes, 74% of respondents answered No, Wardah products made consumers appear more confident, 58% of respondents answered No, Wardah products have attractive designs compared to other products, 64% of respondents answered No, and Wardah products were as expected, 54% of respondents said No.</em></p> 2023-04-27T22:08:51-04:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
